Allergies, Immunity, & Respiratory
Helping Your Horse Breathe a Little Easier
Allergies, immune problems, and respiratory stress are common for today's horses. Environmental factors such as stabling conditions, bedding, quality of ventilation, stress, travelling, pollution, pollen, dust, fungal spores, mixing with other horses, and many other contributing elements can all impact the immune system, induce allergic responses, and accumulate in and irritate the sensitive lining of the lungs and respiratory tract.
The performance horses relies on open airways and efficient oxygen exchange to work at their peak, but even more so, allergic symptoms that affect respiratory function can impact the horse's comfort and the effectiveness of the immune system. With the many immune challenges our horses face - from environment to stress of training to pathogens and diseases - it's important to support the horse's tissues and immune system to prevent problems when possible and recovery quickly when challenged.
